Celebrate Navratri 2013 in Ahmedabad

These nine days of Navratri festival are the most awaiting and colourful days in Ahmedabad & Gujarat.

Garba‘ is an important part of celebrate this festival.

Ahmedabad – beautiful city of Gujarat and perfect mix of modernity and culture. In this nine days of festival most of hotels are booked in city.

Ahmedabad looking like a big dance floor with traditional garba and everywhere we can see young men and women dressed in their finest traditional outfits. this year due to heavy rain in ahmedabad and other cities of Gujarat garba organisers try to dealing with monsoon weather.


In Gujarat, every cities and villages lights up to the tunes of the folk singers & hundreds of garba dancers in Colourful chaniya choli & kurtis.

In some areas we can look out garba dance wherein women balance mud pots on their heads. we also enjoy garba dances live telecast on television and big screens. lots of people attract to part in it. from Bollywood some movies like- Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam & Kai Po Che has played major roles in popularizing the Gujarati culture.


During Navratri, celebrities visit city for play garba dance and promote their upcoming movies/products.


Last year I celebrated Navratri with my friends in Ahmedabad at GMDC ground & it was wonderful experience for me. this year make a plan for  visit most popular garba places – Rajpath Club and Karnavati Club.
